The Persistence of Grace

What is it that allows you to be graceful?

I don’t mean which qualities make you graceful. That’s the easy part. Patience. Humility. Genuineness. Kindness.

No, I mean when do you act graceful?

You certainly know when you’re not acting graceful. You recognize your tendency to distrust. To judge. Or to control.

You’re human. So undoubtedly, you’re fallible.

Yet somehow you find your grace is persistent. You’re graceful when you don’t cave to your pessimism. When you don’t give in to your contempt. When you choose to react to the world with dignity.

It may be easier said than done, but if you do nothing else persistently, persist with grace. You’ll be thankful you did.
